Test the trunks based on NPA-NXX
tested for out/in-coming calls
Managing Vendors:
Selecting a vendor for job, based
on qualification/development/process/quality of
management/planning/scheduling, systems alignment/technology integration
and collaboration. Involve appropriate personnel, review the project
from company standpoint weekly, indentify agreement and disagreement, gaps
and evaluate cause by these gaps and develop action plans to remedy these
gaps. Created evolution metrics based on Delivery, Quality, Customers
Service and Pricing.
Delivery: on time, items, quantities, meets due date,
accurate documentation/identification provided, and response on
rush/emergency requirements.
Quality: Warranty coverage, reliability, meeting of
specifications including new features introductions,
documentation/instruction and technical manuals
Customer
Service: Market imminent,
invoicing efficiency, order acknowledgment, recognizes cost effects,
compliance to terms, technical emergency support, issuing credit memos
promptly, technical support/resolution, inside sales support/customers
service, training provided on products.
Pricing: Price stability/accuracy, competitive
pricing/value, advance notice of price change based on signed contact.
Dark
Fiber Project:
Create
the business case based on calculated T1/T3 and additional capacity needs
at each cell site and compare with Dark Fiber Cost based on 5/10/15 Years
Planning/Design
Dark Fiber Project with other Dep’t for over 270 Cell sites, 100 MB
Bandwidth.
13
Nodes on Dark Fiber Ring and assigned number of cell sites to each Node
based on location/distance.
Worked
with Installer and calculate OTDR Budget LOSS and Compare with Actual Test
Set reading Graph and if found LOSS more than or close Budget LOSS or Graph
has Peak rejects the fiber and asked them to fix the issue.
Schedule
Cut-over from T1 to Dark Fiber and after confirmation cut-over issue
disconnect T1.
CDMA/LTE/EVDO
Consolidation:
Worked
with corporate engineering team and local fields operation/RF/Fixed Network
dep’t came to agreement. Having T1s to each CDMA/LTE/EVDO is waste of
recourse.
Should
use SIU.
Created
the process and manage SIU-consolidated with various departments.
Created
Cisco 9K/10K Multilink and interface script
Created
SIU script, assigned IP Address based on corporate guideline
Start
running weekly utilization report on each SIU-consolidated Cell site and
found T1’s are under 50% utilized.
Before
SIU consolidation each tech type T1 was close to 100% utilized
Microwave
Project:
FAN-Nodes
are installed within timeframe
If
microwave link turn-up get all the test results and compare with calculated
db loss
Make
sure the link db loss is within the contract, if not reject the link and
let them re-configure
If
cell site cut-over to microwave then asked Fixed Network Dep’t to
disconnect T1’s.
