13 Nodes on Dark Fiber Ring and assigned number of cell sites to each Node based on location/distance.

Worked with Installer and calculate OTDR Budget LOSS and Compare with Actual Test Set reading Graph and if found LOSS more than or close Budget LOSS or Graph has Peak rejects the fiber and asked them to fix the issue.

Schedule Cut-over from T1 to Dark Fiber and after confirmation cut-over issue disconnect T1.

 

CDMA/LTE/EVDO Consolidation:

Worked with corporate engineering team and local fields operation/RF/Fixed Network dep’t came to agreement.  Having T1s to each CDMA/LTE/EVDO is waste of recourse.

Should use SIU.

Created the process and manage SIU-consolidated with various departments.

Created Cisco 9K/10K Multilink and interface script

Created SIU script, assigned IP Address based on corporate guideline

Start running weekly utilization report on each SIU-consolidated Cell site and found T1’s are under 50% utilized. 

Before SIU consolidation each tech type T1 was close to 100% utilized

 

Microwave Project:

FAN-Nodes are installed within timeframe

If microwave link turn-up get all the test results and compare with calculated db loss

Make sure the link db loss is within the contract, if not reject the link and let them re-configure

If cell site cut-over to microwave then asked Fixed Network Dep’t to disconnect T1’s.

Working as engineer for Northeast Region Interconnect and National Core Network Design Team.  Due to my previous job and educational back ground resolve many problems. Responsible for analysis of traffic patterns and the preparation of reports relating the voice switched network. The traffic data provided by various vendors project manager and own company system (Traffica, NDW, Watchmark).  Using Watch-mark and Nokia Network Data Warehouse to get reports from various MSC (TDMA/GSM).  And also analyze various end-office tandem traffic reports.  Interfaces with various departments such as Marketing, Billing Services, Legal, transport /ATM and Operations to research issues and resolve problems relating to capacity and utilization of switched network trunks.

 

• Provision New Circuit Paths and Segments in Granite and create work order with all required information in CTS (Cingular Work Order Ticket System) for Switch Tech and Transport Engineer.

• DAC Vs. Granite audit, found more then 40% TDMA Circuits should be disconnect and Transport should be removed

• Issue orders in case of blockage or overflow to make sure network is properly size to carry the traffic.

• In case of traffic Migration from one switches to another Switch Issue Disconnect Order in Granite and create CTS with all required information for Switch Tech and Transport Engineer. 

• Monitor usage trends on network trunk groups and prepare reports on network performance for distribution to senior management

• Monitor trunk utilization and monthly usage volume trends with regard to local and long distance usage in each switch city and collectively.

• Provide statistical information to Rates and Tariffs, Legal, and upper management as appropriate.

• Perform miscellaneous traffic studies as requested

• Review ILEC and IXC Interconnect Agreements as it pertains to trunking requirements in order to provide support to Legal and Senior Management

Dobson Communications: Exchanging market with Dobson Communication, one TDMA switch and 14 Local Exchanges (Rate Center).  Given them market area in mid-west and took over from them in Northeast market area.

Make sure cutover and Lerg effect date match with various dept (billing, roaming, etc).

Gateway Tandem: Mid-Atlantic market running out of MSC ports due to network overlap for Mobile to Land and Land to Mobile Traffic. 5 TDMA and 5 GSM MSC so much over lapped network became like mash. Due to over lapped IMT between 10 different MSC 30% ports were wasted. Same thing with tandems and end offices 15% ports were wasted.  Upper managements decided for Gateway Tandem to Gain ports and Network efficiency.
